Why no one wanted A&Ws third-pound burger
IDEAS FOR ACTIVITY JOURNAL:  Summarize the article.  Look up A&Ws menu on the internet. What would you order at A&W?  Have you ever tasted root beer?  Look up a description of root beer on the internet. Is it really beer?  What is your favorite type of fast food?  Do you have trouble with fractions?

Millions of Americans think that chocolate milk comes from brown cows
IDEAS FOR ACTIVITY JOURNAL:  Summarize the article.  What other crazy ideas do people believe (for example: the moon is made of green cheese)?  Do you prefer regular milk or chocolate milk?  How many glasses of milk do you drink a day?  Why is milk good for your?

50 Awesome Facts (about everything!)
IDEAS FOR ACTIVITY JOURNAL: The article says that these facts are "great conversation starters".  Which of these facts do you find particularly interesting?  Which would you use to start a conversation?  Is there any fact on the list that you had to double-check because you didn't believe it?  What fact was it and what did you find out?  Do you have any other facts to add to the list?

4C - Homework for Wednesday, May 16

So... let's do this:

1) EVERYONE should do the homework from Monday (http://ennsvalleyenglish.blogspot.co.at/2018/05/4c-homework-for-monday-may-14.html) because it wasn't as easy as I thought.  This will be good practice for the SA.

2) EVERYONE should find a link and post it below.  This should be a link to ONE of the following:
a) a cool new gadget
b) a young inventor
c) a person who has overcome a major disability (not Nick Vujicic, we've covered him already).  But someone who uses a form of technology (protheses, bionics, etc) to live a normal life.

3) EVERYONE should be able to talk about their link for 1-2 minutes during the lesson on Wednesday!

Lernen ohne Lernen! - Activity Journals für Eltern

Liebe Eltern!

Fortnite Video Game Taking over the World
IDEAS TO GET YOU THINKING:  Summarize the article in your own words.  Do you play Fortnite? How many hours a week do you play?   Are you addicted to it?  What makes it a great game? Do you speak English with other players? Do you play any other video/computer games?

Most Trump Voters think he's lying about Stormi Daniels - and they don't care
IDEAS TO GET YOU THINKING:  Summarize the article in your own words.  Is it okay for the leader of a nation to lie about anything?  Do you think little white lies lead to bigger lies?  Describe the last time you lied - was is okay to tell that lie? Did you get away with it or did you get caught? If you got caught - what were the consequences?

You'll need to know a little about the following:  President Trump's affair with porn star Stormi Daniels, President Trump's doctor, and Trump's family life

Trump spoke at an NRA convention - the Secret Service banned guns because of "security concerns"
IDEAS TO GET YOU THINKING:  The United States loves its guns, and the NRA will do anything to protect gun rights.  Do you think banning guns at the NRA convention was a step towards gun control?  Why or why not?
