5AHK - Homework for Friday, November 27

For Friday, November 27, write the reminder letter on page 61 of your textbook.  The instructions are in German.  Don't try to translate word for word (and for Pete's sake don't use Google Translate!).  Instead, use your knowledge of English and the phrases on pages 60-61 to come up with a good, polite English reminder.

To turn in at the beginning of class on Friday, November 27.
Preferably typed, or written neatly on LINIERTES PAPIER MIT KORREKTURRAND!

2HAS - Homework for Friday, November 27

Study the vocabulary on page 36.  We will have a SHORT vocabulary quiz over these words on Friday, , which you need for Module 3.  If you want to make flashcards (Lernkärtchen) you can use www.quizlet.com.  You can also write the words in groups (nouns, verbs, adjectives) in your SÜ Heft.

This is going to be a short Module (healthy lifestyle, comparative/superlative adjectives, all of which we did last year).

2HAS - In Class, Monday, November 23

Saturday, November 21, 2015

4BHK - Homework for Monday, November 23

  • TASK 1
  •  Watch one of your favorite DVDs (TV show or movie) in English.  It should be one of your favorite episodes/movies where you know the plot and dialogue.
  • Switch the sound to English and the subtitles to English.  This will help your English in at least ways:  You will hear the language (listening), you will see the language (reading) and you will match the sounds to the words (pronunciation).  You will also learn some new vocabulary and idioms.
  • Try to watch at least 10 minutes a day (or more if you've got the time and energy!).
Be able to talk one minute in class about your DVD and your English experience!
